What you can import into EchoPod
EchoPod lets you practice with media you already care about. Choose a file from your device, select compatible video from your photo library, or provide a YouTube link.
Supported media

Processing steps
- Select a source. EchoPod reads the local file or validates the YouTube URL.
- Detect duplicates. A file hash or source URL helps avoid importing the same material twice.
- Prepare audio. FFmpeg conversion creates a readable 16 kHz mono WAV file.
- Save the lesson. The original and converted media remain in the app's private import directory until you delete the item.

Can EchoPod import documents or still photos?
The current media pipeline is designed around playable audio and video. Platform pickers may expose other items, but a source needs a usable audio track to become a listening lesson.
How do I remove imported media?
Delete the imported episode from EchoPod. The app removes its stored original and converted files where available.
