EchoPod · Account and data deletion

Delete your EchoPod account

You can request deletion in EchoPod or by email, including if you no longer have the app installed.

Request in the app

  1. Sign in to the EchoPod account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings → Account management → Delete account.
  3. Read the subscription warning and confirm. The app shows your scheduled deletion date.

Request without the app

Email echopod@clothpath.com with the subject EchoPod account deletion, from the email address associated with your EchoPod account. Include that you want the account and its associated data deleted. We may ask you to verify control of the account. Never send your password, one-time login code, or payment-card details.

Timing and data covered

In-app requests currently have a 28-day grace period. The scheduled date is shown when you request deletion. Signing in and using an authenticated service during this period can cancel the request. Email requests are handled after account ownership is verified.

Deletion removes the authentication account, account-linked profile and service usage records we control, membership cache, and private cached request results. Media, downloads, transcripts, and learning data stored only on your device are removed through the app or by deleting its local data.

Some purchase records may remain with Apple, Google, or RevenueCat for transaction support, fraud prevention, or legal recordkeeping. A one-way hash of a deleted account identifier may be retained to prevent delayed subscription notifications from recreating the account. Contact us for requests involving those records or for deletion of specific data while keeping your account.

Delete specific data and keep your account

  1. Email echopod@clothpath.com from your account email with the subject EchoPod data deletion.
  2. Describe the data to delete, such as cached AI request results, and say that you want to keep your account. Do not include passwords, login codes, or payment details.
  3. After verifying account ownership, we will confirm what can be deleted and the expected completion date. Records needed to maintain current usage limits, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations may be retained as described above.

For data stored only on your device, use the app's delete controls or remove its local data. Clearing local data does not delete your account or cancel a subscription.

Cancel subscriptions separately

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel in the original store before deletion if you want to stop future renewals. Access to an active subscription is tied to its original EchoPod account, so contact us before deleting it if you need help.
